William J. (Bill) Teuber Jr. is the Vice Chairman at EMC Corporation. With 2007 revenues of $13.2 billion and more than 37,000 employees, EMC is the world’s leading developer and provider of information infrastructure technology and solutions that enable organizations of all sizes to transform the way they compete and create value from their information.
Teuber was appointed to the newly-created executive position of Vice Chairman in May 2006. In this role, he assists EMC Chairman, President and CEO Joe Tucci in the day-to-day management of EMC, and leads EMC Customer Operations, the company’s worldwide sales and distribution organization. Teuber is based at EMC’s corporate headquarters in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.
Teuber served as EMC’s Chief Financial Officer between 1997 and August 2006. During that time, he led the company’s worldwide finance operation with responsibility for all of the company’s financial reporting, balance sheet management, foreign exchange, audit, tax, and investment banking programs. He was also responsible for EMC’s Information Technology and Investor Relations functions.
Teuber previously served in the role of Vice President and Corporate Controller. He joined EMC in 1995 from Coopers & Lybrand L.L.P. where he was a Partner in the firm’s Audit and Financial Advisory Services practice.
Teuber is a member of the board of directors of Popular, Inc., a diversified financial services company that includes Banco Popular as a holding.
Teuber holds an MBA from Babson College, a Master of Science in Taxation from Bentley College, and a Bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross.
